The EDMAT Social Studies Resource Kit is broad in content and classroom instructional applications. The kits span from Kindergarten thru 8 th grade, with a separate kit for each grade. Governed by the Georgia Social Studies Performance Standards, it was developed for use with special needs students. The special needs population may include students in Special Education, Title I, ESOL and remedial readers. Its flexibility includes instructional approaches which compliment the auditory, visual and kinesthetic modalities. It was also designed to effectively supplement the Basal textbook in mainstream classrooms.
The EDMAT Social Studies Resource Kit was developed to make Social Studies come alive in the classroom. Materials are included that allow students to progress at their level, while engaging all the senses. Each kit includes reading material that focuses on the content and standard at an appropriate grade/readability level. Reproducible projects are vast and engage students in hands on and manipulative activities. The interactive games compliment standards while making learning fun.
